Welcome to the Cal Poly Robotics Club website! We are a project-based club that exemplifies the Cal Poly philosophy of “Learn by Doing”. We hold general meetings every other Tuesday from 11:00am-12:00 in room 10-231 (Alan A. Erhart Agriculture Building - Map) [Note our new location, starting Spring 2009]. General meetings typically consist of project status updates, forming project teams, announcements about club events, brainstorming, sometimes a presentation or a guest speaker such as a professor or someone from the industry, and of course eating pizza. See the 2010 Internal Competition page for a calendar of upcoming meetings! We have many exciting events planned for this year and are always looking for more ideas.

We also hold project work days every Saturday from 10:00am-2:00pm at our club room in the Bonderson Projects Center, building 197-102 (Map). This is great time to check out our robots, talk to the team members, and see if you would like to join a project!

The primary focus of the club is on designing/building robots, which is done during the Saturday work days and sometimes smaller project team meetings. All majors and skill levels are welcome to join. You don't need to be highly experienced to join a project team, but you do need to be eager to learn; the point of doing the project is to learn about robotics and to gain experience.
