SpyBot at Industrial Technology Robotics Competition, Fall 2006:
Space Day is put on by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Its purpose is to show children how fun and interesting engineering can be. These are some of the pictures from our booth. Pictures from the entire event are available at http://swe.calpoly.edu.
The SingletonHand features detailed, jointed fingers and thumb. This unique, efficient design provides fine motor control capabilities which mimic precise human hand and finger movements. The prototype is driven by a single stepper motor using a clutch/brake assembly. Through the use of a specially designed sensor glove, the SingletonHand is able to closely repeat and play back most hand motions that are performed by the human hand. More info available at http://www.singletonhand.com.
Every year in April Cal Poly holds an Open House. Here are some photos of our booth over the years.
